You may want to hold off making one right away, hatching season will be up soon for those fair weather hatcher people and you will find them really cheap. I am looking for egg turners. The one I had croked on me and so I am hoping to get one soon.

Hello Everybody!!!

Does anyone know how many kids we will have a POOPS? I was thinking, since I have a bunch of books about chickens I could do a reading for the kids. I have some that have been a favorite of my students for years and thought maybe our kids at POOPS would enjoy listening to them. Not to toot my own horn but I have been told I am a pretty good story teller.
If you all think this maybe something that would be enjoyed at POOPS I would be more then happy to do this. I will get a list of the books with author names for those kids who love the stories they can find them in the library or at the bookstore.
Just let me know what you all think about this idea.

I made it through the county fair!!!!

But during that last storm it got my modem sooooooo no internet for me at home!!

So I am at work checking in. A guy will be at the house on Wednesday to see if we can get something besides dial up.
Shaun got 2nd place with his little doeling, 2nd place with his 72 lb wether and a 4th place with his 98 lb wether. Lots of blue ribbons in the poultry barn. Roscoe P. Bunny got a blue ribbon (sshhh he was the only Flemish there!! don't tell him though) and then he ate the blue ribbon. Tink( Queen Scoot's bunny) got 3rd out of about 8 other New Zealand's. She would have done better IF I had cleaned her up before we went!!

I am pooped and ready to rest BUT I had to come back to work!!
I am headed home now so I will check back later!!

Rebecca ; I second that idea it sounds great, you may want to PM monty and donate some of the books for the kids raffle he is working on that. and maybe after the reading they could break the Pinata, I have the Pinata for the kids allready, just need the candy. Rebecca get with Beth Cityclucks she is the entertainment director, I gave her the heads up allready on the pinata. WOOOO HOOOO POOPS is shaping up !!!!! to be a wing dinger.
