Howdy neighbor, welcome to our group. If you check back a few pages I am sure the information is posted.
As for swapping you can bring what you want to pass along hopefully someone there will want to trade or buy them. If not they can go into the auction.
You can also make some deals with people before by telling us on here what you have to trade and maybe you will have a deal done before the event gets here.
As for wants there is a list floating around so let me know if there is a particular item you are looking for and I will post it on the list.
The POOPS event is much more than just a chicken swap. There will be a raffle, potluck dinners (2), entertainment and a lot of fellowship.
Let me know how many are coming andd I will get you on that list too.
As for potluck food, we even have a place for that and Sooner is heading that section.
If you know for sure that you have something you want to be in the auction just let Al know or post it here and we can pass it on.
Hope this helps.
Like I said there are several post floating around and you shouldn't have to go back too far to find them.

Again welcome to our group.
Monty

I think those would make jim dandy nest boxes.
And a nice big white interlocking OU on the side with set them off perfectly.

That's exactly what I was thinking, 'cept I expect the hens to lay red eggs with a raised OU logo in white

So you really think those feeders will work? Maybe I'll just get two of them and see what happens, if they like'um I'll get more. What's the rule of thumb, 1 next box for every 4 hens?

Matt

I think they would work fine and should be easy to clean.
I have a ten hole nest box and about 24 hens in the main pen. They usually lay in two of the nest boxes but I think you should figure one box to 3 or 4 hens.
I am sure there is a recomended standard by some spert somewhere.

If I recall correctly the larger versions I saw at Atwoods were somewhere around $15 each. They are made out of heavy duty plastic and seem sturdy enough. I could probably build some boxes out of some old plywood I have laying around but these just seem a lot easier to deal with. Easy to install, I'm just gonna hook'um on a 2 x4 that's spaced about an inch or so off the wall of the coop, and as you mentioned they would be easy to clean. Just unhook'um & spray them off with the hose, really.

I might have to get a few of those. Do they come in orange?
If so I could use those to decide which hens I cull for dumplins.

So if they use the orange , they become soup right? If so, I agree.
