Well I come everyday and lurk, does that count for anything?!
My hubby built me little chicken huts yesterday. We took the BIG tubs cattle mineral come in and turned the upside down, cut a hole in the side, then used the hole that was cut out to make a overhang so the water wouldn't run in when it rained. And I LOVE them. They look like bright red baseball caps.
Carla the chicks we got from you are doing well. We have had some losses, but I think that was due to them squishing each other trying to stay warm during that cold snap. Even with 2 heat lamps on them we still had squishing going on.
There is 1 big turken that I named Lurch. he reminds me of the butler off the Adam's Family he is so funny, he is so easy going and takes everything in stride.
Hubby says we have TOO many chicks!!
And I have OEGB in the incubator. As soon as it get warm then he doesn't notice how many birds I have.
But right now with babies tucked away with heat lamps and the new bantam leghorns and wyandottes in seperate pens I think he is overwhelmed. But he puts up with them cuz' he loves me!!
I am glad I don't live down you guy's way i would always be at the auctions and be DIVORCED!!!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful New Year!!
