I am on day 20 in the incubator with some Wheaton Malay Eggs. Here's to hoping I have electricity all night!!!!

I am actually setting up a meeting with FoghornLeghorn at the end of this week (hopefully!) to get a Sultan hen.... but, I could always use more than one, of course

grace i'm glad i finally got part of the picture thing down.. i have a girlfriend that has some sultan babies... if thats anything that might work for you let me know... i need a moment of silence from everyone for all of us that are goofy enough to have eggs in the incubator and have lived in oklahoma long enough to trust the fates when it comes to our weather anytime of year.. i think i have 225 eggs in 3 incubators and babies hatching as we speak.. and watching the limbs on the trees get icier as we speak.. everybody stay safe..

Well, its a slow steady freezing rain down here Tahlequah. My stairs and walkway are ice. I hope idont start hearing branches snapping. Im sure this one wont compare to 2 Januarys ago but its alread more than id like. On the plus side I got confirmation Cuttler Supply recieved my check today and my Bator ships today or tommarow, im excited to start incubating after all this crap is over with

We have 100 eggs in the bator and just had a Thunder strom, and the weather guessers
said that it would be worse if we had Thunder..
I was going to Little Rock tomorrow for some test, but they are calling for bad weather all the way, so we are not going after all no need to be crazy..

You all take care for the next couple of days, and maybe we will all make it.

Oh to be young again. While everyone else is huddled inside trying to stay warm, the boys are outside sliding around playing basketball.

And Nicoe, I get 2$ dozen for eggs for the table. That's probably too cheap, but I don't mind.

The industry standards for a brown egg layer is that they consume 4oz of feed per day which is close if you do the math. Now take 50 x 16 to get how many ounces in a 50 pound bag and divide that by 4 then take the number you get from that. Aw heck if you are paying 12 dollars a bag it roughly figures to 6 cents per egg or 72 cents per dozen just for feed, not counting water and time.

And I had a fine time at Jones the other night, met Monty (buckguy20) and Poultryand bees. Can't wait for a big meet up so we have time to cuss and discuss!

Well everything is slick and icy here now. Its still coming down but it looks like snow, but its running out of the gutter like rain. Maybe a mix but i cant tell. I just went outside after getting out of the shower and it doesnt even feel cold enough to freeze, yet it is. Was worried about the chickens, i got to be at work at 4am so i put a big pan of corn in the pen for when they wake up.

KT - I am home! I got in around 3:30 and fell asleep the had lodge and as my mife says I am grand Pew-Pa. They let us out of the meeting without saying anything useful! Then it took me over 5 hrs to get home...had to stop about every 20 min to knock ice off the windshield wipers and let the heater catch up. The roads weren't horrible but it wasn't real fun either. The boys are gonna have some fun. I decided the dark guy was so cute that I am gonna let him have 2 ginger hens and the pyle will eventually get the run of the outside girls (gotta move the RIR roos out cuz they don't play nice!)

I can't wait to meet the rest or ya'll!!! We have so gotta get a date set!

By the way it is snowing here and at least we still have double digits!!!
