I found the worst thing possible in my coop this morning...
apparently Snapp, my broody hen, still had a couple eggs that she'd rolled out of the nest and hidden in the corner. I didn't really notice because she'd be up when ever I opened the door to the coop.
When I noticed the eggs, the only thing I acctually noticed was a little yellow spot in the corner, and the I noticed a little half grown chick out of the safety of it's shell, which was next to it. I put the last egg in the coop, and buried the dead chick. I wish I'd notice things more often than I do.
Anyways, I candled my eggs yesterday, two or three quitters but other than that we seem to be doing good.
The original four eggs, by looking at the chick found in the coop, is little more than 14 days...
Well, I gotta get off, schools almost out.
