Been raining here most of the night, pretty heavy at times. My work plans for the day will have to be altered due to the rain, I had planned to start an exterior upgrade today so that will have to wait for drier weather The client understands.

Sooner : Glad to see Grandma is doing better, still thinking of her.

I have reregulated/Tweeked the incubator just a touch and it appears that has done the trick, holding temps very well with no more than 2/10 of a degree variance, still cooking 4 doz of my own eggs. Cornish, White Rocks, Light Brahmas, and a few more of Laura's Foo-Foo's eggs. The BR's & Royal Palm Turkey Poults I got at POOPS from Carla and Carl jarvis are doing just fine and are in the condo outside already. Been lucky so far this winter & spring with no preditor or illness incidents, Here's to everybody having a great day, just remember it's Friday.

Tylan 50 and LA 200 are both good antibiotics. Get the birds well first and then proceed with wormer and vitamins.

If they are still sick they won't take the wormer very well and it will knock them back down and then the vitamins would be a waste.

If you are using water soluable antibiotics, don't feed them for at least the first 5 days.

Using injectible antibiotics, normally use 1 cc under the skin in the breast area every day for 3 days and cut their feed in half of normal.

Hi-Jacker

I really need to apologize for my (Hi-Jacker) post last night.

I should not post anything until I've had the time to proofread it and have the time to ensure it is what was meant. ( see the above bold print )

Yes, by all means feed the sick bird. don't feed them MEDICATED CRUBLES ALONG WITH WATER SOLUABLE ANTIBIOTICS for at least the first 5 days.

This will over-medicate the birds.

I posted and then we rushed out the door for an auction. When we got home last night we were catching up on posts and

"Yep, I'm an idiot."

Everyone that read that has alrady said it too, I deserve that one.

Hopefully you guys got it straightened out before someone starved their poor birds last night

Well I followed your advice and didn't feed my birds last night after medicating them as per your instructions, this morning they (almost 100 of them) had all passed, so now I guess you owe me lot's of very rare and exspensive breeding stock. So Doc when can I expect to come over and pick up my replacements or the $$ ???.
