Just thought I would share my thought for the day.

Iron sharpeneth iron, so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friends.

Yes, but NO! Don't you enable him! This is a Cochin world at 2800 Wiley Ave.
-and it is spreading - Jack is thinking of keeping the Mottled pullets he got at Blanchard auction. They were so cheap, he was going to turn them around and sell them again if I didn't want them. They are so sweet.

I see everyone has finally woke up!

I need thoughts on green legs. I have been told that if a chicken has green legs then you don't want to use them in breeding because several generation after you have gotten the green out it can pop back up.......Anyone know????

In regards to the green leg's I can only speak of what green leg's mean in my breed of birds. When as chicks if my Cornish have a slight green tint to just the front of the leg's that is a good sign, it means the game portion of the breed is still strong, it does however fade away as they get to a year old or so. Here is an example of the green leg tint in a young Standard Cornish.

Sooner not sure about the green leg thing but I would think that would be the same with any trait. Not sure but I think things can pop back out anytime.

I am going to check more on it before I give up on it and that does make sense Monty.

I'm not convinced the leg is green because it doesn't look like yours but I know there are two colors in every legs, Ed started telling me but my brain couldnt remember it all.
