I have 2 roos....would give them away. I have a red pyle and a black one...their pics are on here somewhere... need to get rid of them before spring...too many roos. Teach was interested in them but he lives sooo far away...... The pix of the roos are on page 252... and again that red pyle is a great rooster. Al would you be interested in a great looking Delaware roo?

KT :
Hey send me a pic of the Delaware Roo, I think I may have a place for him.

Well Okies... it's a sad time at the ole Rhodes Estate. I had to have my dog put down yesterday. I got her at 6 mos from a friend of mine. She had a lot of health issues that caused her some pain. They weren't life threatening... just chronic. She was getting more and more aggressive. She was restless and panted all the time. If she was out she wanted in, if she was in she wanted out. She could never just relax. I had her opened up and rechecked to make sure she was spayed correctly. I made trips back and forth to the vet to have this and that checked. She had bladder issues that caused the chronic pain (ouch). She was on medication for that, but the side affect is restlessness.... yay. She had snapped at me once or twice when I was trying to grab her collar to get her to do something. She was very jealous of my other dogs and would harass them constantly, especially my dachshund. I've had to break up fights between her and my big dog, but I wrote that off to just squabbling. But Sunday night she went after my dachshund for real. I was in the coop and couldn't get out quick enough so Mike broke them up... then she went after her again. I decided that was enough. I had her 3 years and never seemed to make a dent in any of her problems... I know I did the right thing... but my heart is broken.

Hey Al... This is Y.D.... I want to use him as my EBR (emergency backup roo) but I don't know how he will get along with Rex... If it doesn't work out I will have to get rid of him. He is very unassuming and quiet. I'm assuming he's saving it up for spring. He is mating hens. I think he is beautiful.

talk about easy to be around, once I got rid of that buckeye that was dumped on me all the rest of my roo's are so gentle and so easy to be around. Come a couple months gonna have a "chicken party" here building pens and separating chickens. I just wonder should it be a "mini" chicken stock, trade, buy, sell. food and best of all I get help building and moving.

Has anyone else heard this weather man rumor of 'possible winter storm' for next Monday and Tuesday!? I'd like to think we all had plenty of time to prepare, given a week's advance. But this is Oklahoma, so I'm sure next Monday and Tuesday will be in the 60's.

What is up with the weathermen out here. They start out with a 40% chance of whatever.... then 20%.... then nothing... and it rains like hell. Is it really that difficult to predict the weather here? At least here in the southwest section of the state its easy... Summer: hot, dry and windy. Winter: cold, dry and windy. Sheesh.

Stimp, are ya still alive out there? Was thinking of you today. A lady's sig line was "Don't argue with idiots, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience." HA!

The whole weatherman in Ok thing is pretty simple, Hire the guy who was at the bottom of his class in weather school, and is so young his dad has to pre knot his ties, give him alot of fancy computers so he can really just scare the dickens out of the women and children. Then rely on farmer joe the Tonadoe spotter to spot Tornadoes and wall clouds in the dead of night. Not to mention their unique ability to accurately measure the size of hail stones, when was the last time you saw one of these guy's in Bib overalls with tobacco spit on his shirt on the golf course comparing the size of golf balls LOL LOL. Yes KT you don't have to a rocket scientist to figure out our terrible weather, so why do they not get it right??. saying that it is so hard to do insures job security. ok stepping of the soap box, SORRY.

Happy New Year
AL
