Okies in the BYC The Original

Hey Group,

My family has reunions at the north pavillion at Lake Thunderbird. It has a nice, clean bathroom, a large parking area, a small grill and several large, covered tables. It costs $50 for the day, and the day is from 7am to 7pm. So the weekend would set us back $100. Put me in for $25.

There is plenty of room for horseshoes, and volleyball. There is also a nice swimming area but trust me, in the middle of April, I doubt that anyone will be going into the water without a wetsuit.

I don't think they would have a problem with chickens but we'd better check. Beer is OK as long as it's controlled. They DO patrol the area pretty regularly. We have never had a bad experience there.

Does anyone have any experience with Superior Farms in Yukon? They have an ad on the inside front cover of Backyard Chickens this issue. Was wondering if anyone had ever done business with them.... since I have never heard of them. Let me know?

THANX

No dedicated RV sites, but we backed our MH in next to the pavillion and plugged it in there. Other than that, you might wanna tune up your generators.

P.S. 30 amp only

Henny,

I haven't done business with them yet, but with Danny Padgett running things you can bet that it's as it should be. I only know him by reputation but I've never heard anything but good about him. I'd trust his name even tho I've never heard of the owners.

The lady today told me there are three rv hookups at the site and others available close by.

Stimp, The same lady told me that the time would from 8:eek:o am to 11 p.m. So if you spent the night you have to pay for two days.
The camping /rv fees are on top of that.
Thanks for the $25

It was in really bad shape a few years back but like Stimp said Danny is getting things turned around.

I only picked the 2nd weekend in April just as a ruff date and to go along with the Blanchard auction. So with it being Easter weekend, I wont be able to make it for that weekend. If we go for the lake then we can pick any weekend we want. I guess 1st to do is get that call into T-bird this morning and see if it is even possible. Then go from there. I will call Susan today and find out.
