Hey Don, I went to Craigslist - Ft. Smith, pets, and didn't
find this. I also pulled up the Tahlequah paper and didn't
find it there, either. Am I looking in the wrong place?

At this point, we're going to the seminar that Mr. Kvittum is
having at Pryor next Tuesday evening. He was super to
take extra time and talk to the kids about their individual
birds at the last show here at Tahlequah. We prefer the
way they do the shows down here. The kids are actually
hands on and involved with their critters and learn so
much from it. Oh, we do have one escape once in a while,
but, we have the shows in a building and several of us
pack the nets on long poles....LOL

Heaven help me, Pa-Pa and the KID unplugged the little
styrofoam incubator and plugged in one of his GQFs. They
started with 5 doz bantam eggs and 7 doz americana and
cinnamon queen eggs. I'll never get to go to the lake.......

Have a good one !

Gerald and I enjoyed the Cement Auction and visited with Kay, aka GoldRose and Al, aka Al6517 and Jerry & Misti & many other diehard auctiongoers that we see regularly. Had a blast! I was shocked at the prices birds were selling for ... roosters over $10, hens of course more $$$, and we sold 2 tom turkeys for $32 each!!!! We only bought a few cages. The weather was great. I'm sure that's why so many buyers were at the auction.

Yes it was a very fun time at Cement tonight, Shocked is the word I too would use, Crazy Crazy Prices without explanation, even the die hard auction RATs were without words & could not explain it. And I am sure the word will get out and next month who knows which way it will go, no telling. I finally found some nice birds I wanted to bid on and they were the last to go through so I am thinking great the price should dwindle some, wrong wrong. They were Light Brahmas 1 rooster and 3 hens, I stopped at what I thought was way to high, by the time I got back to my chair it was double. They went for $ 20.00 ea 80.00 bones for 4 Brahmas. See what I mean that's how crazy it was tonight. and I still was able to get my trio of light brahmas from Sam at a more than fair price later that night at his place, and they looked much better so I was pleased. I was able to unload 9 doz hatching eggs at a good price so it was a good night and a good time was had by all.

I bought a beautiful pair of black silkies, a trio of white silkies and a yearling pea-hen - oh yeah and three feeders. I think I 'stole' mine compared to many of the prices. Everyone is doing fine, cept I had to remove the white silkie rooster from the rest of the population until he can quit thinking hes'a 'fighting game'.

As always, I enjoyed talking to Carla and Gerald. Maybe I can actually meet Al next time!

What's up with that? I feel cheated! Again!!

But at least we got some rain... the wheat field out back was gasping!

It's gonna rain Whoppers! I've got to stay up for this. I'll wash off my trampoline and get my bags ready. This will be better than Halloween...

On a serious note, I'm thankful for the rain. Maybe the burn ban can go away!

Cammie dear, I used your Silkie and Sultan to test out my new photo box, and I just had to share the pictures

(These might not be the 'best' pictures, but they were the cutest!)

Now that made me laugh!

I was getting all teary-eyed 'til I read that. My daughter's going to see a specialist tomorrow ... her dr. did an ultrasound & thinks her fetus' heart is too large ... oh, now I'm getting upset again.

On a brighter side, I got my first turkey egg today - Blue Slate! Oh, and I've got lots of hatching eggs for sale right now. All the birds think it's spring. I've listed some on the Buy Sell Trade forum. I need to list more as soon as I can get more pictures. Unfortunately I'm at work now & won't get off work til 3:30 am.
