no plans on taking it- basically cuz i think they developed it too fast...

here's a chicken question- we burn our trash, is there a general guideline for how far to have it from the run??

and, my bees are still swarming the hummer feeders, so moved them away from the porch, is that any indication of the type of winter to expect??

I for one do not plan on taking the flu vaccine. I think I have already taken enough mandatory vaccinations laced with thimerosal (mercury). If we need to keep it out of the landfills, I think I need to keep it out of my body.

Does anyone have the statistics on regular flu versus swine flu death rates?

Man, I love my rubber boots. Won't do morning chores any more without them. We wore them all the time on the dairy when I was a kid.

My brother calls them REAL cowboy boots.

They do not, they are very clean animals.

If kept properly. The owner of that dairy I just talked about free ranged his long before it was the In thing to do. Turned every pig stereotype on its head for me.

That's funny, my uncle's keep running into the front yard. Unfortunantly, they live in town. At least no one has complained.

maybe he needs to plant a hedge around his property?? we live in 'tick hollar', ten acres of rock, bushes, and now the guineas and chickens are helping to relocate those ticks....

So far we have more silkies and naked necks. My daughter is going to be so excited. The incubator is getting pretty loud. lol
Got a call from my daughter's school. I was afraid they were going to tell me she was sick, but no she won a $20 trip to shop for books at the book fair. We spent $33 last Tuesday at the fair and they had a guess how many noodles in the jar when you checked out and she won.

Just to clarify things at Blanchard.

The next sale will be Saturday Oct 24th Goats at 2pm Poultry at 5pm BE sure to bring the kids we will have a special treat for halloween for each child that attends.

Then due to a conflict on the building the next sale will be November 7 goats 2pm poultry 5pm
We realize that this is in conjunction with Cement that weekend we apologize for that. We wanted to have a sale before Thanksgiving. During this sale we will be having drawings for special thanksgiving treats. Try to attend both if you can.

Then we will be getting back to our normal sale dates with the next one in November being on November 28th. Realizing that this is Thanksgiving weekend we did not want to be bored.

Any questions or confusion be sure to call us.

Thanks
Jerry
