Good morning Al. Have those hens of yours lost any weight? I have that one on a diet and I'm starting to see some improvement but she still has a way to go. She has picked up a roommate tho. She, and that cockerel that we nicknamed "pigpen" are thick as thieves. You never see one without the other.

PS: Evan has named her "Tina", as in the line from the movie Napoleon Dynamite when he was talking to the Llama, 'Tina, you fat lard, come and get your dinner.'

Good morning to you all! Thanks to you I've run an emotional gauntlet this morning.

I was laughing,
then I was drooling over pictures of chickens,
then I was wanting an incubator,
then I was glad I don't have an incubator since they can be troublesome,
then to ilovesilkies

!
Then Dr. Les grossed me out with photos of turkens (is that what they call a bow-tie?),
then I was crying for Teach and his dad,
then I was touched by the thoughtfulness and love you wonderful people on here show each other,
and now I'm caught up!

I am so happy today is so nice out! Maybe I can finish the oegb condo while DH is asleep. It is almost finished, I just do not know if I can finish it without someone else's help. I think my lil guys are gonna love it!

LOL I know Stimpy they are some big fat Mama's that's for sure, I too have put mine on a diet I feed them a pre-measured amount twice a day. But like most big girls they are resenting the whole diet thing, and look at me like they want to tear my eyes out lol. I want to keep them trim for breeding purposes and longevity now that I know they have the fast growth Gene.

Ol' Pigpen keeps her on the move most of the day. With all the exercise she's getting, she should shed a few pounds pretty quickly. She's beginning to replace the feathers she'd lost, so she's starting to look a little better. Were they kept in cages before you got them?

You know, I realize I should be thankful to have work, and I am - I really am - but it means I can't hang out and chat with you guys. And EngieKisses, if I didn't have so much to do, I'd come over and help you finish your cluck condo. It is so nice outside...but I'm buckling the chain on my ankle and going to work. Everyone have a great day!

Who was wanting Maran hens???

Speaking of work... I went back to my old cashiering job for a little while, just to make a little extra money. I was still in 're-training' and hardly working any hours at all. Well since the school approved for me to take overload and finish a little early, there's no way I can work, so I told a manager last week. Now the main store manager has been calling me early this morning telling me I'm supposed to be at work. What the heck!? Is every place this disorganized?
