I candled to stupid thing just two days ago and it was fine. But, I cracked it open and the chick's yolk was gone and it was in the right position to hatch, I just don't know why it didn't.

 

[TJ's Na-Na]

TJ took 12 birds. And, thanks to Madison
and Modernman's boy, all of them managed
to hit the table. Yes, those were the biggest
single classes I think I've ever seen. And,
good quality, too.........Both kids and birds !
There was a little confusion at the table right
at the start of the first class when (someone)
set a little 8 week old border collie puppy up
there.........LOL Nope, I didn't say anything
about Sooner..........

TJ got home with........

4 - Second place
2 - Third Place
And, one each, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth.

Guess Na-Na was busy chasing TJ's new puppy
and yacking. I don't have a clue which bird
did what......LOL

We did manage to get the huge momma coon
in the live trap last night. Lord knows where
the litter is. Am hoping they're not big enough
yet to drive us nuts.

Hot and humid here, but at least it's not raining....

Whew, what a day

I was gone from 6:45 am - 8:45 pm to the huge 4-H poultry and rabbit show in Eufaula.
This was the longest and most tiring show I have ever been to, but that didn't stop it from being fun!

A Reserve Class was the highest bantam I had too, and I was disappointed that they didn't let that placing run for Champion Bantam (they would have been in the running at a sanctioned show.....). I also was disappointed in the prizes they gave this time, and the fact that the chicken show was a few hours late in starting

But over all, it's still a good show, and I think they had a very nice judge!
That is so neat that you already have GND chicks! I was about to say that they must be a bit early, but then I saw your last line

Sorry I didn't get to help them at the end, I really thought my Reserve Class hen would still be considered in the running for Champ. Bantam, but they didn't do it that way.....
