Good morning and happy first day of summer all!!!! I took a vacation day today, Dakota is headed to Falls Creek, Heather is at my mom's spending the night last night, should be home sometime this morning, Jessie just left for work, I need to get motivated and get those signs painted TODAY!!!!! My Father's Day was not the best I have ever had but I did get a HFD from most of my kids and got to see Aaron, got to buy my own lunch out of the deal but enjoyed meeting up with my sisters and mom and step dad for lunch, Got to call my dad and wish him a HFD and then turn around and tell him that an exuncle had died at 8 am yesterday, MIL called to wish me a HFD, then told Jessie a close family friend had died the day before, so in all it was Ok, hot out, chickens are lookin for shade but still laying good, put more eggs under three cochin hens to try and hatch some, we will see how that works out!!!! Had a decent Fathers day, was up early and spent 12 hrs baby sitting some BBQ. Had some of our friends over and Alyssa had some of her hungry little teenage friends come over also, I still wasn't feeling 100 % up to snuff but I had this planned so I had to go through with it LOL. Here was the the Fathers day BBQ menu.

All smoked over a low and slow Hickory fire for the entire day

Pork spare Ribs

Turkey breast

Brisket

Pulled pork shoulder

Homemade Potato salad

Pinto beans

Now you know I just had to torture Ya'll hehehehe.

Morning all. Doc are you up to any good today or just going to have fun and agravatte people!lol. Sometimes its fun to just do that ,keeps them on their toes when they get to thinking you are a push over!lol.

Sooner,I'll bet Madison will figure something out for you to do by the time you get off!

All,Man you got to take it easy! After haveing that heat spell last year you will be more vulernable for another.

Supposed to be a hundred here today. Don't mind as long as it doesn't shower! We have gotten lots of showers lately but they don't even get the ground soaked just make thye sauna effect.

By the way...Good Morning everyone...had a little time to get on...waiting on a call to get my deep freeze fixed. If one more thing goes on the blink in our household I may just throw the towel in. LOL

I better run...got too many things to get done before tomorrow...trying to get everything ready to start building our house. I never thought we would get to build a new house ...but it's hopefully going to start about the middle of July. I would love to be in it for Thanksgiving.

Al...I still need to give you a call about some questions about the house. I just haven't had a minute to do it.

I do think there is plenty left, we will dog it for a day or so then freeze the rest, Dang I made a pant load of the stuff, but then again I didn't want to stand over tha deal all day if there wasn't a huge pile of meat to do LOL just not worth doing a little.
But it was fun and as you know I like to do it, my FD gift to myself.

Al, That Meal looked great!...

We spent our day, getting up and getting going after Saturday nite.

I took everyone to Western Sizzling for A great lunch. Then we went and delivered a trailer at El Reno.

Stopped by some friends house after the delivery. And came back home and got ready to go to bed.

Oh, We also stopped at Walmart and I got new Fishing tackle and Tackle box......

Good morning all
wanted ot update on my sick chickens. As of this AM i have 7 roos and only 5 pulls left. Out of those there are 2 that dont seem are going to make it. Of course it has to be all the little girls that die. I think i am going to throw the ones that end up making it into the yard for bug catchers and give up on chickens.........maybe i will try again at some other point but not sure. anyway, thanks for everyones ideas and help the other day when i posted abot them dying. i really appriciate it. Have a good day all.
