Cammie, glad the move went well!
That's great that some eggs finally hatched! Maybe you'll have a pair of d'Uccles now!

Sorry about the Frizzle, though :aww
You sure are getting rid of a lot of chickens! How many will you have left?

Okiechick57, I hope your hatch goes well, especially that egg from your sweet Siesta!

Carla...is it Saturday yet? I am so silly about all of this!

All the babies are doing great and Fred the Guard Rooster is convinced they are his. He hangs out in front of their pens all day and if anyone or anything gets near them he runs them off! It is too cute.

Monty...Are you better yet? We miss you and are praying for you to get well soon!

Maribeth..the kids are doing great! Loving their worms! I hope you are doing well!

Grace, that will leave me with my Buff Orp and Dark Brahma pairs, my Black Silkie hen, and the d'Uccle pair. I got too many random ones, Monty warned me about that! But I can't get anymore until I get these sold. And I really want some of Carla's White Silkies, and some Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas!!! Your chickies are cute, by the way.

Kaacres, so glad you like the little roo! I do my best to make all my birds lap pets. *ha* I'd love to see the pictures you took! How did he and the hen get along?

Cammie, How many white silkie chicks do you want? Oh, and I see you're looking for a black silkie roo for someone ... I have a juvenile black silkie ... It'll be really nice when it matures ... I'm not sure if it's a hen or a roo ... but I also have some gorgeous blues, too ... they're less than 2 months old though.

Cammie..Ask and you shall receive. These are some that I took today (before I cleaned pens). Dad has not got around to "sharing" the ones that he took Sat night.

Now you want my right profile?

Now can I go back to watching my babies?

I just love him so much! And he loves to help me clean the pens.

As far as the hen she is a little agressive toward him, so I am going to wait until he is older and maybe even wait until the new babies and him can all go together.

well howdy all, and well come to all you newcomers, Glad to have more Okies on here. Hope ya'll will come to the ChickenStock, and speaking of which is starting to shape up nicely, I still need more chickens entered into the main show so far I only have 5 and 2 in the uglest chicken and 0 in the costume chickens contest. Show come-on okies and join in this chickenstock is for you. Okihen I am looking forward to seeing ya'll at monroe. I will be selling so roos too, but their all mixed breed. well talk to ya'll later. Maw.

Just a question, I don't have my eggs yet to hatch and thank goodness for that. Yesterday we had 2 power outages. The one last night last 7 hrs. Is there anyway to keep eggs warm when that happens or is it just tough luck for that batch. I have baby chicks arriving the week of the 21st, but I could propane heaters in the room for them for short periods. Hopefully this won't be a common occurrence, but it is springtime in Oklahoma after all.

Antheat,
I don't know if I'd be able to find out who brings the marans eggs ... about the only way would be to ask the people that run the auction and see if they will look up the seller ... and that may be a confidentiality issue. Some sellers prefer to remain anonymous. I don't believe the person that owns the majority of the marans eggs that we've seen there actually attends the auction. The eggs have always been there before we get there, and we've been there as early as 1 1/2 hours before the auction begins.

I'd have to agree with Carla. You are not likely to get the info. After all, you would be able to bypass the auction co, and buy them direct. (that is what you are trying to do....)
I can't imagine they will tell you who they come from.
If I were trying to find out, I would buy a dozen, and then ask as you pay to see if you can find out. Tell them you want to know more about the eggs and would like to ask the breeder some questions.
Nothing dishonest, and I would imagine that's the best approach to get info.
