HaHa! That's ok P&B that is exactly why I don't get those smart phones...they are smarter than me lol

No really ...as long as I can call and make calls and texts I'm good...anything else I would either break or wouldn't be able to use like it should be used. And yes I am feeling tons and tons better....and thanks to your honey suggestions my allergies haven't been going haywire either... which is strange cause this time of year I am usually suffering something awful!!

I am finally feeling productive again and trying to get back into my normal groove of things. I tend to operate much better with a normal schedule and a clean house. Not sure why that is, but I tend to throw too many irons in the fire at once and then get overwhelmed! So hopefully next weekend at blanchard I won't be so ragged out and be back to my normal hilarious self!!
My BF came in the house yesterday and I thought he was gonna fall over from shock

So I guess the house must have looked 100% better

When he went out to feed his critters apparently he made a stop by the chicken run and looked things over. He came in the house and said, "Dang hun you have been busy! You've done all of this today?" Yep it was priceless the look on his face!!

I went with your suggestion and left the poultry wire up on the outside of the welded wire and just added to it instead of changing all of it and starting over. A predator is gonna have all kinds of problems getting into my run now! i have a couple of things to finish up out there hopefully today and should be ready to move them in!

The BF promises me he is gonna start on the coop as soon as he finishes planting his wheat and stuff....hopefully he follows through or else I am hiring it done. It has to be done before cold weather and I am dangerous with hand tools!

Well I'm not an expert like Les, but I bet that color comb means the bird has bad circulation (which is not good news for the rest of it's body either

I got home late (early is probably more accurate) from the Fletcher auction. It's a long drive from Haskell, but seeing so many BYC friends there made it worth the trip.

Peaches - You run a quality auction. I appreciate how quickly I was able to check my birds in. There was a little something for everyone, which made the entire evening enjoyable. I can't tell you how tempted I was to bid on a whole cage of lion's head bunnies. My husband would have had a stroke, though, so I kept my hand down. Folks bid fairly for the birds I brought, which made it easier to watch them go to new homes. All the young men helping out reinforced my belief that Oklahoma is a marvelous place, and good manners are still in fashion. A special thanks to the young man who carried my birds and pecan pies. Go hug your parents. They're doing a super job.

Buster 52 - I probably stood or sat next to you and didn't even know it. I think we need a BYC roll call at the beginning of every event.
Michael & MM - After reading the posts I know you were at Fletcher, but I didn't walk around taking names, so I missed meeting you.
Jerman - Thanks for introducing yourself. It's nice to be able to put a face with a name.
sgtmc1 - Thanks for the hot dog. It was very tasty. Heating the buns was an especially nice touch.

Bill - It was nice to meet you. Good luck on the incubator contest. It would be cool to have two Okie winners in a row.
Rebecca - Thanks for chatting with me. I have tremendous respect for what you do, as an educator, and I think you are one of the rare few born to the profession rather than choosing it. Watching you sit with that big cochin rooster on your lap, holding him like he was a toddler, made me smile. Again, thanks for being so welcoming.

note to self...need to figure out a temporary shelter inside the run until the coop gets built...just realized their doghouse won't fit through the door like I had planned

darn it! Let's see what do i have??? I have a few pallets, a tarp, and a small piece of plywood...now how to get them to stand up and not fall over is the trick I just might be able to pull this off

Michael - I'm going to make more of an effort to talk to folks next time. I'd been up early to deliver birds to buyers in Tulsa, taken artwork to the fair grounds for my students, and then I came home to load birds for Fletcher. I was tired before I started driving west. I think next time I'll reserve the entire day for the auction. Better yet, I'll try to get some other folks who live in this part of the state to carpool (truckpool?). Company would make the trip more enjoyable and more affordable.

DA ......... BEARS.

I didn't want to post during half time as that backfired on me last time............... JIM....

....LOL...... I must admit I didn't think Da Bears could do it given how they have been playing the last 20 Millinium, But they had me cussin and cheerin the whole time, but in the end the victory was a sweet one. In Dallas at their home opener, in their fancy new Stadium with Dallas being the morning line Favorite as usual, it was a very exciting game and with 5 lead changes it could have went either way. I am just glad to see my beloved Bears finnaly making a move, and as everybody knows Dallas fan's have at least 3 other teams jersey's in their closet and they were changing jersey's at Halftime, boy I sure can't wait to see the headlines in the morning and listen to all the Cowgirl fan's whinning and crying and posting dates for the Pity party LOL
