We have more than a few stumps - When we mover here 6 years ago we hade more than 40 trees on our acre. We have been loosing them steadily since. A huge hickory and a beautiful, big double oak are especially missed. That tree bore has been getting the pines that border the road.
We used to cut and remove them ourselves but can't keep up. We just paid 600.00 for a guy to cut down 6 pines. We thought that was a pretty good price for cutting, and clearing and hauling off everything. He also trimmed our huge oak. Now all our nieghbors are hiring him before he raises his prices.

I talked to him the other day, I have been hauling the cedar logs he is cutting. He has great prices compared to any other tree guys I have heard.

OK, Donna suggested this so I thought we could give it a try.
In honor of the days of fast moving posts and rapidly flipping pages, lets try to get as many of our people on here at one time as we can.
It will be impossible to come up with a time agreeable to all so for this first time, lets just say Tuesday from 8 pm. til ?????
If you know someone that hasn't been on, make it a point to let them know.
So what do you guys think?

I will be at Blanchard - just to visit and pick up some jars that Jim is bringing me. I won't be staying very late, because I have to open up the church in the morning for our Blood Drive. I am going to try and resist Carla and Gerald's wonderful hatching eggs, on the theory that my incubator is almost full and I don't want to start up another one.

The problem is that I hate seeing their great eggs sell for low $$$

when I love a bargain.

Ok Tuesday at 8 it is! Sorry I haven't been on much lately...drama with my dad and school. At this point I think me and my dad are gonna have to have a "come to Jesus meeting". As much as I hate that it is neccessary at this point!

Be gentle with Dad - after he is gone, and all of us will be "gone" at some time, you will not regret the time you were able to spend with him and you will think wistfully of the times his actions aggrevated you.

Are you going to be able to make it to Blanchard tonight? I don't plan to take anything to sell, so have room for a cage with your cochins in it.

Are you taking care of your own health before you try and take care of everyone else? With all these weather and temperature changes, now is the time to keep up the orange juice and sufficient sleep to help your immune system.

I have heard of gabbard farms. Where is she located?
I used to have Penedesencas. The black pene's eggs weren't as dark as the Wheatens I had.
I also had a Partridge roo that I put with some Welsummer hens.
I had a hard time raising them and lost more chicks than I raised.
If you get a good flock going, maybe in a few years, I can buy a start of them from you?
They are flighty, in fact the black ones and the Partridge roo were crazy wild even though I was around them every day. The Wheten trio I had weren't as bad but were more flighty than all of my other breeds.

so i guess I wont be going to the auction tonight sorry my car over heated if its not one thing its another oh well perhaps next time. Guess I can sit home and build some things and wish I was spending money I dont need to be spending.
