who was looking for white peacocks? Here is someone with a variety of peacocks and peasants, including red golden pheasants. Since I am good for this winter on the red golden pheasants, I will share the information.

I unfortunately have come to the realization that I have hoarded way to many birds and MUST cut back, at least for a little while.

In 2 weeks I'll be working a new job (promotion) where Gerald & I will barely see each other ... I'll work days & Gerald still works 2nd shift.

Making sure all our critters are fed & watered daily may be rough ... well, the rough part is learning how to get up early in the morning, fight rush hour traffic & be at work before 6:30 am. Oh, but I won't have to work weekends or any overtime anymore!

Ok so it is 6:00 pm on a Sunday night so Ya'll know what time that is, Okie dinner time and as you have come to expect here is a new treat for you guy's. Al's Stuffed sweet bell peppers.

stuffed with ground round, rice, spices garlic, minced shallots, Romano cheese, bathed in homemade Marinara sauce.

Hey there were white peacocks at the zoo and I totally thought of Rebecca aka Muesky but because there are cameras around the place... doing a peacock run was outta the question... lol.. Any how our home is winding down as we prepare our goodbyes for the children that have been in our care... its getting bitter sweet around here

and already the oldest is saying they will miss all our chickens and mia(chinese goose)... and made sure the POOPS shirt was tucked in their good bye bag. The littlest one is not sure what is going on and has become very "clingy" so jason and I have been taking turns holding the baby all day... Gotta spoil them before they go..

We plan on taking a week or 2 off before we are placed with any other child(ren) just to allow our family to decompress and regroup and acknowledge the emotions that are hitting us now with soon to be good bye.

Anyhow I hope you all had a wonderful weekend...

hi guys, forget trying to catch up i am so far behind! finally got the expanded banty run done, they are some happy campers! I think they spent half the day dusting and chortling- that cochin roo is a riot, the gals went to lay an egg, he jumps in before them, makes it nice and comfy, then hops out so they can can do the egg... too funny! all of my flocks are molting, and barny the brahma roo really looks pathetic!

poser the goose seems to be a girl, and is slowly healing from a leg injury, hey does anyone talk goose? she will come up and stare at dave and honk in various inflections, i get the feeling she has a crush on him, he honks back at her and they will have a very long conversation back and forth....
