One egg pipping at day 19

I have 14 Black Copper Marans eggs in the incubator, and my neighbor put four cross-breed eggs in since there were some empty spaces going to waste. One of his small white eggs is pipping. It's day 19. I feel like a little kid the night before Christmas.

i just used that same bator and had pretty good luck.

Evening of day 20:

Of the 14 Marans eggs, two have hatched and five have pipped.

Of the three extra "mongrel" eggs, two have hatched.

I'm away from home, but just got an email from my wife saying 11 of the 14 Marans eggs had hatched.

I'll post a pic of the peeps when I get home.

Sure can't complain about a 75% hatch rate on shipped eggs. They came from Bev Davis, by the way. I'm looking forward to getting more when she changes roosters.
