I kind of wonder if it is my fearless duck.

I ate it for breakfast. I thought it was delish.
I will check and see if I notice any differences between the girls.

I was so shocked the first time I opened one. Their shells are super thick! I knocked it on the counter several times before it cracked.

Congrats on the first egg gosh 6 months I have never gotten one until 8-9 months old, that is really cool!!

Is this observation right after they layed?
The only vent I see without picking my ducks up is the drake. He's got a wide load comparatively speaking.

It would be within a couple hours of lay. Definitely not my drakes, I don’t notice anything on them. Our daughters favorite duck recently started laying, and the difference pre and post lay is obvious. We know she’s a duck rather than drake.

Wish my Muscovy were laying. My adults look like duckmageddon with all of the feathers that they are molting. The babies are only 8 weeks old.

Well in a normal world I’d say you won’t see eggs again till next year but who knows usually once mine molt that’s it for the year

Well, just the one egg so far no others. She (whichever one) was just being an over achiever to be the first to lay an egg.
Funny thing though, only one chicken laid an egg today.

My Muscovy's aren’t in full blown molt yet but when I opened the main house this morning it sure looked like someone had plucked a chicken my word.
