We'rehanging out at the hospital. We've been here since monday night. Grandson has a ATV accident but is doing well. They're gonna take out the drain tube in his head today and the nurse mentioned he may go home tomorrow but the doc we say said he would see us Monday so who knows bit i'm sure we'll go home soon.

I know what you are going through. I take care of my grandmother who has end stage COPD. She is in and out of the hospital alot she has been their all week to. I think she will get to come home today or tommorrow one. I hope everything works out for you.

Oh, gosh, that sounds serious Em, is your grandson doing ok? Those atvs are dangerous . I am glad my boys never got into those. Of course, we lived in town. They are more into video games and card playing
some boys never grow up! They just keep on playing:-D

A doc removed the drain tube today and said he will go home tomorrow afternoon. He still has lots of stitches and staples in his head and has to stay indoors most of the time other than taking a walk outside. No playing outside and he has to be very careful not to bump or hurt his head. He can't even wash his hair. He can stand under the shower and let the water run over his head but no using his hands to try to rub the dirt and stuff out of his hair. I figure after several times standing under the shower it will rinse that out. The drainage that ends up inhis hair is pretty smelly and pastes his hair down like glue.

Better out than in as Shrek says. lol He didn't want to get out of the shower last night because he said it felt good. I bet it did. We where able to give him a tub bath but of course couldn't get his head or the arm he has the IV in wet. At least we where able to get the blood and mud off of him. Still working on getting it all out of his ear.

He's going to be fine. The staples won't come out for another 2 or 3 weeks and if any stitches haven't dissolved those will be removed too. He has to be watched to keep his head clean and undamaged meanwhile.

It sucks, doesn't it? I just threw out about 3 dozen that didn't make it. A person could get discouraged. Next we have to worry about the effects of hot weather. Do people ship eggs all year, or is it seasonal?

I ship all year if people are buying. I haven't noticed much difference with it. If the box isn't left to sit out in the sun all day the eggs should be fine. Now would be a good time to start asking your senders to mark the boxes as 'Avoid extreme temps' and "keep out of sunlight".

I have some eggs in the hatcher that Gordonhill farm sent me. I put them there last monday and ended up at the hospital for a week. The person that is feeding my chickens said there are no chicks hatched."m sure it's low of water and the temps have probably spiked. I really wanted those to hatch. We're getting out today. Waiting for the discharge papers and the nurse to take out his IV.

Are sizzle eggs acceptable for trade? I would like to trade for silkie eggs. I'm sure the ones in the incubator are no good now. When I get home i'll see who's laying. Hopefully the sizzles are. I have oegb's too. She had stopped laying before I came to the hospital with my grandson. Maybe she decided to lay again. That would be helpful.
