I was so excited about this, & this is the appropriate place to share. I got one of those misting 'cobras' ( i think thats what they're called) and a water timer for my chickens. Should keep them a little more comfortable on those hot days. I have it set to mist for 5 minutes every hour...

Wow, those are going to be some happy chicks this summer! Congrats on your purchase. I still need to get water ran to the coop. It is a real bear carrying water out there...about 100 yrds away. hopeing the rain barrell fills up faster!! Maybe I need 2? LOL

My dogs were startled by the misting in the greenhouse but soon came to love it, and would frequently go over and stand in the face of the miser, the way they hang their head out the car window and face into the wind. I would expect the chickens would learn to do that, as well; they seem pretty quick to learn.
