Wow! How hard are valley quail to keep? I absolutely love them!
They are easy to raise, hard to get hatched. I have a lot that are late quitters, and their fertility isn't all that great. They need more space than Cots or Bob's, this has been my experince with them...yours or other peeps may differ....also it seemed the males were more aggressive than other species of quail.
 

Cute chicks! It's sweet to see them lined up by their mama.

Until 2 years ago, I had everything but Cots, Mearns, and Bensons.

Someday, I'd love to have the property and resources to raise different species—but for now I'll settle for admiring everyone else's work :D.

thanks! There were 7 of them.. counting the one who didn't make it, it had nervous system issues.

About: She likes to climb things and she lays big spotted eggs

Chicks who don't make it are heart-breaking. Sorry about your recent loss, too. It's hard when pets die—usually helps to remember all the joy they gave us :hugs.
