Yeah, still have Mountain, Gambels, Valleys, Mexican Speckled, Bob's and Blues. No longer have A&M, Tennessee Reds, Snow Flakes.

Wow! How hard are valley quail to keep? I absolutely love them!

Wow! How hard are valley quail to keep? I absolutely love them!

They are easy to raise, hard to get hatched. I have a lot that are late quitters, and their fertility isn't all that great. They need more space than Cots or Bob's, this has been my experince with them...yours or other peeps may differ....also it seemed the males were more aggressive than other species of quail.

Someday, I'd love to have the property and resources to raise different species—but for now I'll settle for admiring everyone else's work .

Name: Babs (full name Barbra)
Age: Almost a year
Breed: Coturnix, Barred Rosetta
About: She likes to climb things and she lays big spotted eggs

Taken moments before she scampered away.

In awe of her new pumpkin house.

Looks a little miffed from the front.

Right before she decided to bathe in the grass clippings.

It think she just likes the view.

Chicks who don't make it are heart-breaking. Sorry about your recent loss, too. It's hard when pets die—usually helps to remember all the joy they gave us .
