Actually I am really looking for a Splash Giant Cochin roo, straight feathered.
Thanks!

I have a strait feathered blue cochin (giant/ LF) and also one beautiful lemon blue and possibly a solid black.
I would like to keep one only. I might have some nice cockerels as well, I will check and see if I have a splash.
Jen

If you have a splash I would just love you so much!

I currently have 2 black frizzle hens and would like to get 2 blue frizzle hens and then I will have a B/B/S frizzle flock. Sounds neat and tidy doesn't it? I really have to learn it doesn't usually work that way!

I saw that a couple of weeks ago and emailed the person offering them some young unsexed silkies from my pens to help compensate for their loss. Turns out it's a hatchery, and these were some chicks they were growing out. I feel sorry for their loss, but I am glad it wasn't an individual or small time breeder where the loss would be far more devastating.

Still, why do people steal? It's frustrating.

Very interested in coming, but not sure if I'll be able to... I'm still having a lot of trouble figuring out all the details, and 56 pages is too much to try and wade through!! lol

There is only are only two hatcheries in the state that aren't sole proprietorships and those are family operations. So instead of an individual losing some pets or hobby birds this is taking food from someone's table. I would say that this is "far more devastating". I am expecting to make $8,000 for the year, not exactly minimum wage given the time and effort expended. I'm making ends meet by selling stuff that I own and odd jobs. I know that two of the other small hatcheries are calling it quits, one taking substantial losses for the year. So don't think of businesses as just nameless; faceless entities, they are people's livelihoods.

The first page, first post will give you all the details of when/where etc and about 2 or 3 pages back (give or take) you will find the list of wants/haves. It will most likely be updated every couple days this week since we are getting closer so stay tuned! And always feel free to just ask questions....someone will chime in! Hope you can make it
