I am bringing 24 chickens to Lane County Fair, along with 55 goats. I have clipped about 28 now, about 27 more to go.

My son, (possibly daughter, too), and I are going to enter a chicken apiece in the
Cottage Grove Heritage Fair this weekend. Anyone have any tips on getting a chicken ready to show? I did find an article about it on the internet, but any practical tips would be appreciated. We are entering in the "novice" class. A Buff Orpington and two Rhode Island Red pullets.
