Orpington Color Genetics

I have another question for you. What is the difference between duck wing and Partridge? I was looking online and through BYC and saw that duck wing the saddle feathers and hackle feathers are the same color but what about with Partridge how are they different from Duckwing and what characteristics should I look for as I'm breeding?

Also I see different color partridge Red Partridge, Blue Partridge what's the difference between the two? Or does it matter?

Duckwing is the wild type pattern, separated from partridge by the partridge gene.(and often the pattern gene which defines the lacing of the females.) The males of partridge are often simply plainer than duckwing, while the females of partridge lack the salmon breast and also often express pencilling on their feathers instead of an undefined mottled brown.

Red partridge is partridge with the mahogany gene. Those are fairly common. Partridge Plymouth Rocks are technically red partridge, I believe.
However, in Orpingtons, they seem to use the term for something else entirely. I’m afraid that I am no help to you there.
Blue partridge is partridge with the blue gene. (Blue in all of the areas there is usually black.) Those aren’t as common.
Gold partridge has neither mahogany nor blue affecting it. Partridge Orpingtons are gold partridge.
