I noticed a few days ago that my buff was putting her neck start back (almost as if she was looking up at the clouds) she was laying an egg at the time, laid her egg and then went on and didnt act strangly for the rest of the day.

tonight i went to make sure the girls were up and to lock up the coop and she was scratching her head, shaking her head and putting her neck up again almost at a 90 degree angel. I rubbed her down and she stopped doing it from there.

I know that some birds can experiance wry neck, I dont think this is the same thing. Anyone have any ideas?

She is about 1 1/2 years old, a big buff cochin probably one of my heaviest birds. It has been hot these past few months, her crop is full and she is still acting normal besides the random neck/head issue.

Advice would be MUCH appreciated, she might have some respiratory issue, maybe she is putting her head back to get a better breath? She has been brought inside during winter for some draining ect
