* Try feeding her oats, making up about 1 part to 3 parts feed. I have done this to cut the corn ratio in Chook's feed for the summer and her egg size has gone from med/lg. to med-med/sm starting in 4-5 days or so. I use steel-cut, because that is all I have found locally to this point. (P.S.-maybe your girl is part kiwi???)

Has she just started laying. I know when my hens just started laying there was blood on there eggs. After laying a couple of day's it stoped though. Goodluck....
