OUR CHICKS CAME EARLY, wait scratch that, our corpses came early =( -updated with pics-

So some of the modern and OEGB have started to pull out the feathers on their chest that got yolk on them.. :/ Needless to say it needs to stop, I wet one of the modern that was doing it so that instead of the feathers plastering to her, they just dry. Well shes could be good but then an OEGB started doing it. Any ideas how to fix it?

here are some of the chicks, I know its early but any ideas what they are??
Oh and we ordered : 2 turkens, 1 rooster orloff, 1 buff, 1 light and 1 dark brahama, 2 fayomis, bantam special (this throws like all guesses
off track

) 2 mottled cochins. 4 frizzle cochins, 2 blue mile fleur d'uccle, 1 cream light brown dutch bantam, 2 dutch mile fleur bantam and 2 each buff/laced sebrights.

Black Cochin???

Heres our turken hen (I forbided her to be a rooster)

OEGB i think, the moderns are taller

Any ideas??? i think its feather footed

we have more breeds but i dont care because i just want to talk to anyone and this is stalling it!!! and their not the best photos

Well one is a turken

the others I have no idea, but I do not do bantams either. My guess is it was the cold that killed them but if they sat for over 3 days without feed or water in the hatchery or in transit they wil lstart dying anyways.

do people like to ignore my posts???

Take a deep breath, CBL. It's Saturday morning - most "normal" people are still asleep. Even those of us that are awake aren't really awake!

I know, you're excited. Chick deliveries are like Christmas and Easter all rolled into one! Really rotten about the chicks that didn't make it - I hope you and Ideal can work this out to your satisfaction.

I wish I could help you identify your surviving chicks, but the best I can do is a guess at color (and you probably can do as well as I can with this!) Hopefully someone will be on here later that can help you, but remember - Saturdays are slow around here, you may not get a lot of action on this thread. Enjoy your little cheepers, my DD would be sooo jealous!

ya! all the best ones dies

i lost my fave hen i few months ago she was a black silkie i still miss her everyday wishing she would run up tp the coop door wanting me to let her out and when it was feeding time she would stand on my foot wanting me to put down the bowl so she could eat she was the littlest on we got
RIP Nikki

Good post. The time stamp showed about 3 in the morning, east coast time. Shipping into -40 weather is tough, really, really tough. I'm very sorry for your losses.
