come on babies you have a lot of people rooting for you!

It's getting close, Joy. I go into lockdown on Wednesday with the first batch. I have not candled them. I rarely candle. I will when I move them out of the Sportsman and into the hatcher on Wednesday. I am getting excited and anxious!

Well, it is day 22 and nothing on the Clementine egg. I have found her eggs to be a challenge to hatch. They develop perfectly, but then...nothing. Does anybody have any ideas? suggestions? anything??? I've tried hatching in several different kinds of incubators and nothing seems to make a difference. Julie - I may have to send you some eggs and see if your Dickey will do anything?? I'm going to leave that egg for a couple more days and see if anything happens. I have 5 more eggs that are due to hatch up through 08/13, so hopefully will get something from those.

Anyway...good luck Kathy. Please let me know how it goes.

And for all the wonderful hatching vibes you guys sent - THANKS !!!!

Try Jim maybe he can hatch her eggs!!!

I set some Charlie Blues under 2 Broodies this time and so far 1 hen has hatched out 7 chicks but 2 of them smothered hatching under her. I'm taking it was from this terrible depressive heat we are having here. The other Broody's eggs are due to hatch out tomorrow.

I just don't get it. I am at a loss. The first 3 eggs of her's hatched just perfectly. But after that, I have only had 2 to hatch. I just have no idea what it could be. I might be banging on your door with a few eggs one day pretty soon, Sandy !! LOLOL.

I'm really sorry to hear about your babies smothering. Is it still horribly hot there? It has cooled down some here...Saturday, Sunday, and Monday were overcast and only in the LOW 70s !! It was wonderful, but looks like the respite is over and supposed to heat back up.

Oh Wow Joy. Sorry they didn't hatch. That is just frustrating. Of course I will be glad to help in any way just let me know.

Well, my 2 Minerva babies hatched and are running around in there with their little fluffy butts. I'm not giving up on the Clementine egg yet. Every chick that has hatched from her has been late, so....still might get lucky and hatch. I'll keep you posted !!
