14 July 2014 at 6.15 am. Our first baby chick hatched. Welcome to the family!
2 am. I woke up, went to the garage and checked at the eggs in the incubator. I thought ok nothing change. Then I went to bed.
4 am. I checked them again.Oh the rest of the orpington have pipped (6 out of 6). I went back inside to tell my husband. My husband came out, looked a little while. We heard "Cheep cheep"! We were surprised! My husband then went to bed. Lol
5 am-5.30am. I kept looking at this one egg. I thought she would come out soon.
5.30 am. Nothing changed much. So I laid down on the hammock in the garage. I did not want to miss the first baby hatching.
6.00 am CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP! I woke up frightened..when did I fall asleep? What was that sound? I turned to look at the incubator. HOLY C! What's the black thing in there. i quickly ran inside the house, yelled at my husband " Honey, baby is coming!!!!" I ran back just in time to see her push the cap off and craw out off the shell.
That was my first experience of the baby chick. My husband laughed at me because I fell asleep during the important part! I really wanted to see the entire hatch of the first egg.
9.30 am. We welcomed the second one.
2.04 pm. Our little third one hatched.
3.10 pm. The forth one came out safely.

5.30 pm. Our fifth baby chick came out with umbilical cord and yolk. However, she is a fighter. We separated her from the other chicks in the incubator. After the umbilical cord dried up, My husband held the chick and I cut the cord.
The fifth baby chick seems to be fine right now.
7.30 pm. Hello our last chick of the first lot, chick number six.
She is small but seems to be doing ok.
Here are some pictures of the them 24 hours after hatching!
Yeah, I'm so happy!
