Our Mixed Flock Journey!

Pics
Little Roo went strong all day and then I noticed that he was just standing around! So, I brought him in, gave him another dose of Corid and some electrolytes...he's now sleeping in my lap! I am dosing all of the chicks with Corid, I don't want anymore sick babies!

I moved the French Black Copper Marans to the coop today! My son gave me an animal fence and I'm using it to keep the littles in and hopefully the bigger ones out, until they have gotten used to each other! 2 - 2.5 weeks makes a big difference in size! They all seem quite curious about each other. I'm thinking that when they have hit 4 weeks, I will let them join the other chicks...hopefully they integrate smoothly! It's supposed to be hard to tell if you have Roo's or hens at this age, but I'm pretty certain that I have 2 Roos, 1 hen and I'm thinking the other is a hen, but her comb is a little bigger than the other hen, but not as pink as the roo's. Time will tell, I hope I have two hens!

A video of the meet and greet, I was talking which I don't usually do, I was trying to coax the older chicks in!

Not chickens, but bird related! I was walking across my lawn this evening & I realized that the birds were being extremely noisy! I believe they are twitterpated...😂 Here's a video I took just to record their songs. I have no idea how many types of birds were in there, but I do know that it's more than one!

I don't know why, but it still surprises me at how fast chicks grow. Best wishes for an easy integration! Penny is a cutie :)

More Chicken Shenanigans...lol
I give the chicks several clumps of grass every day, they love it...then right off the bat one of my EE's found an earthworm...the chase was on...lol! I missed half of it!

Good morning! Yes, thank you...he's running with the best of them now! He still comes to say hello and get held for a moment, but then just like a toddler he's ready to go again, so not quite as needy as he was! :love
