She still isn't looking very good! Tail feathers down, head pulled in! She was drinking some water this morning, but not really interested in the morning treat I brought out! Her crop feels completely empty! It also looks like she still has very watery stool! I'm trying to decide if I should treat for Coccidiosis! Adult chickens don't usually get it, but they can and she is definitely exhibiting the symptoms! She was very energetic until yesterday...so it's kind of a sudden onset! I'm going to get a spot ready and bring her in...we finally got some rain last night and it's calling for a chance today, not ideal conditions for a sick girl! I haven't treated my flock for internal parasites, so i guess that could also be an issue, although I haven't seen any signs of this!
I'm not very good with chicken illnesses; I just know they can go down very fast. I hope she improves soon.
I'm a little leery of the ET because it's always the worst possible scenario & simpler explanations get overlooked. Observing first is such a sensible way to go. All the best with her.
