Speaking of melting and drying out! @N F C how is the snow level at your house today?
Well, losing six inches is better than nothing, I'm just glad the weather is a little more moderate where I live! I hope you don't get the snow they are calling for tonight! Rain would be a good thing, it would get rid of the snow sooner, but then you might have a flood...so a slow melt is probably better! That 30" is slowly melting and is now down to about 24"
There was so much snow melting off the roof yesterday it sounded like it was raining.
No more anythings for quite a while!Very true. You are super prepared to handle a leghorn or a legbar.
She still owns my heart. I will never forget her.I love this picture! She was such a great pet for you!![]()
I tried very hard to get eggs colored other than brown or white but my EEs all let me down.Fun picture!
I only have 5 birds now...the 3 Legbars, 1 Welsummer and 1 white something or other (I never can remember except she's a cross that also lays blue eggs). That's right, somehow I ended up with 4 blue egg layers and 1 speckly brown egg layer.
Here's Bonnie, the white girl (sorry about the poo)

I'm always gazing longingly at the colorful egg baskets I see around the site. But the city limits me to 6 and my old girls are here for the long haul.
I meant to say that she is a cutie. She sure seems part leghorn with those legs.Fun picture!
