May was drought, and just in the last week now, we got some heavy rain. Definitely welcome the rain,,, but some areas are getting way too much.
Last Sunday tornado's ripped and damaged a path of about 15 miles. and a second one somewhat shorter. It was not total destruction on that path, but many homes did get the heavy hit. Miraculously,,,,,, there were no fatalities, and minimal injuries

,,,, That is a great thing, since buildings can get rebuilt.
Those paths were 15 and 30 miles away from me,,,,,, but only 9 miles away from DD#2 home.
The weather service does a FANTASTIC JOB, of warning people to seek shelter and alarms were heard. Most-likely a reason for not many injuries.
Today was another tornado incident, but further south than last week. I don't know extent of damages until tomorrows' news.
As soon as we heard the warning sirens, we turned on the TV and there was nonstop weather reporting.
Flash flooding was also happening, but not in our immediate area.
