All Silkies huh? Well then, just to stay in the Dr. Suess theme, may I suggest instead of a single roost you put in a bunch of poles each with small roosting bars on top?

None yet I got side tracked on getting some pens built for 4 rosters 2 welsummer and 2 Bcm . I'm tired of the bumping with the hens and living in the hen house. I want to control the breeding not them. So this is on hold till I get the pens built.

So I started the day cutting lumber for a chicken tractor. Hit six nails in a log and gave up cutting any more till I could get new band blades. I had enough lumber to build a back wall on the chicken tractor.Then I still had a lot of 4x4 and 2x4 cut and sitting so at 1pm I shifted gears to the the silkie shack.(what I have been referring to this dr Seuss house)

I managed to get up another wall. Not complete but I ran out of 2x4 till I can cut some more. I did get blades and finished cutting the chicken tractor pieces so when I get time I'll have more wood I cut at the same time, to work on this coop.
