The last molt will be very light. You will notice those little feathers in the coop and the hens will look a bit better. It's more of a feather exchange.
Yes, a couple of weeks or so. It is good that they are checking out the nest box!

I have a Partridge Rock hen who just started to lay. I have been told that she is full-blood Partridge Rock, but she has feathered shanks. I have read comments that this is not standard for the Partridge Rock, but I checked out the SOP from my public library recently and the old 1920 SOP for Partridge Rocks does not call out clean shanks as a SOP requirement for Partridge Rocks, like it does for at least some of the other Rock colors. So what's the deal? Are feathered shanks really a show disqualifier for Partridge Rocks? And does this then mean my hen is not really full-blooded but instead a mix, or throw back? Sorry, I'd post a picture, but I do not have a good one and I'm at work. Perhaps I will remember soon to snap a good pic of her to post. I've been trying to remember.
Congratulations!I just had to share. I am so excited one of my hens combs is getting redded & her wattles are noticeable
And here is some of the other hens. They are all different sizes but I was told they all have the same hatch date. I love all their new feathers that are coming in. The actually have tail feathers now !!
Thank you !!! I love the different coloring of them as they grow. And they look more like chickens now with more feathers on their tails & body. The markings are so beautiful. I figure they have more growing to do since the hen I saw at the fair was still bigger than my hens.Congratulations!
You should get eggs soon. They are very nice looking too.
