Chick #2 silvery grey with a very faint chipmunk

Here are my partridge silkies. They all look totally different. Anyone have any idea what they will look like when grown?

chick #3 super yellow.
What do you all think?

I believe the one with definite chipmunk markings is definitely a partridge as guessed.

The more grey-ish looking partridge will most likely either be a silver partridge or a gold partridge when older. I’ve never have silver partridges myself but I have hatched gold partridges that were a similar colour to that at that age.

The last one in the photos looks like it’s the typical yellow of a white Silkie. Since it has black spots, possibly a paint. It can be really hard to judge though as the photo may not be showing it’s true colours well. If it’s super orange in colour in person, it’s most likely a impure gold (just a gold with extra black on the wings and tail feathers).

They are all super pretty! I will say post them back here in a few weeks time once their feathers are coming in and the colour should come through then, particularly in the last chick.

Here’s some of the partridges I’ve hatched, all varied in chick down colour:

@Merrymouse here are three of my impure golds as chicks, they were pretty orange as chicks with the odd black spot on them, maybe your one looks this colour orange in person?

This is the result of a gold x partridge :)

The one I have is really yellow. Maybe a tiny hint of darker yellow on the back of the neck but most is a pure yellow with black markings. We'll see...

Clearly you are a phenomenal photographer compared to my photos. LOve this pictures!

Definitely post more photos in a few weeks time! A chicks down can change so much that they can look completely different once fully feathered.

Trust me I’ve seen some shockers hatch one colour then a few weeks later come in totally different and I’m just there like...

Old picture. There are 2 white ones here with no markings. The ones with light chipmunk are partridge but the result of me crossing two lines and second generation. They feather in normal partridge. The light greyish one is partridge with 2 copies of lavender.

I'm setting up breeding pens right now so no chicks at moment.
