My first peas showed up this morning, too! I dunno what happened, but yesterday morning when I watered, there were a few flowers but no peas. This morning, there are at least a dozen or so pods and a whole bunch more itty bitty ones just bustin' out!

I use green wire 2x3 inch fencing, nailed to a couple of 2x4s for my peas to climb. It works very well.

To support our beans and peas, we use cattle panels that we cut down to size and stick into the ground after cutting the bottom part until just a "spike" protrudes.

I voted for long stick with cross pieces! LOL All LOL aside If your new at the garden and garden on new groung.Consider seed Inoculation. If needed it can make the diff between Small crop and WOPPER CROP.All legumes peas/beans require Inoculant if planted in new ground..Once there planted in ground with Inoculant for a couple years, its now in your soil and you should not have to add it again .Check it out its money well spent (just a few dollars)....cva34
