I am having a difficult time trying to get my Brinsea Octagon 20 Eco to get higher than 40 humidity. I have tried EVERYTHING. I have sponges in the water tray. Sponges AND something else that I rather not type on top of the water trays and I keep them soaked in water until they dry out. But the humidity NEVER increases to more than 45. What else can I do? Anyone have any other suggestions? I"m more so concerned about the pea eggs however I do have turkey and guinea eggs in their with the pea eggs.

How much outside air are you allowing in?  If you close up some of the vents a little it should be easier to raise humidity.
Taco's a star!

That's what I did and it worked. Humidity is 45 - 50 and steady. Thanks!

I sold 10 pea eggs this weekend. I'm kinda sad because I won't get a chance to see the incubation process. But the girls are still laying. I collected 2 eggs yesterday. Lockdown was yesterday for 4 pea eggs, 2 BR turkey eggs and 12 guinea eggs. I didn't candle, so I don't know what's going on in the eggs. Hatch day is scheduled for Wednesday. Once that batch has hatched, I will put in all of the pea eggs that I will have collected for the week.

Question for all....... How long can you collect pea eggs before you have to incubate them? 1 week? 10 days? What's the magic number?

Hi everyone! I am getting my first pea eggs today from Terri! These are my dream hatch birds. I hatched a couple hundred chicks before I had the confidence to try these! Any tips? (I admit to not having the patience to read the previous pages of this thread with my phone.)

My first egg, also the largest egg (118 grams or 4.16 ounces

), was laid 5-1 and put under a hen on 5-15, and as of yesterday, it's alive!

Since they are your dream hatch birds, I would get to a computer and do as much research as possible. I'm too much of a novice to summarize the whole process in one post.
