I love hatching Pure Breeds but I also love hatch-a-longs of Projects !

I would love to see everyone's hatches Pure or Crosses
Then we all can follow there growth & see the outcome!

I have joined other hatch-a-longs ~ But never get to see the Progress of Projects then the final outcome!

This thread LOVES pics! So lets have a pic heavy thread with lots of projects !

So lets "Cross" our fingers and hope our birds turn out amazing !

Geese, Chickens, Ducks, All Fowl Game & domestic, Emus and other Biggins!
Egg Swaps are encouraged !

I love to joke around so a sense of humor is a MUST !

If you bash or insult another's project you will be either
Tar n' Feathered or Broiled, Boiled, n' Baked !

SO HAPPY HATCHING 2014 PEEPS

Although these are not this seasons I though I would upload some photos of hatches from last spring to get the ball rolling.

The red Sumatra at the bottom I want to breed to a large Sumatra hen and see what they come out like.
The black Sumatra above the red one I want to use with his large hen and see what their hatch would come out like, because their last hatch had cockerels with combs and wattles.
I'm also considering crossing the araucana in front of the flag with one of the light Sussex hens, I hope the offspring will lay green eggs.
And the Sussex cockerel at the very top I want to breed him to my Sussex hens and see how big or small they are.

He is actually a faulty one, I bred him out of a bantam Sumatra hen and a large black cockerel. Here's pics of the parents

The cockerel above and below is the brother of the red one

The hen below is the mother of the red one and the cockerel above

And the cockerel below is the father of both the previous cockerels

The cross between sussex and araucana will probably produce a dark green or slighlty brown coloured egg as I know someone who carried out a similair cross between a red sex link and legbar.

So I have a handful of hens that Last Year I crossed & are going to start laying
I would like to find an Ayam Cemani Rooster to cross with them

Here they are

if i lived near you i would give you one of my sumatra cockerels, they look more like cemanis than sumatras due to them having combs and wattles, ill get some up to date pics tomorrow. Heres them about a month ago
their combs look small in these pictures compared to them now

him above had the least wattles but the fox ate him

What cross are your chicken?
