Look at the little rooster... going to be 3 weeks old Saturday/Sunday. You can watch them grow!
Sunday is hatch day yet again.

I am totally sad and feel so guilty.

I was just at the coop...when I noticed that one chicken was missing. I checked the run... no chicken, no feathers. I found her drowned in a water barrel that I didn't cover. It's my fault!
I dumped the water out of the ones that are not covered. I can't descripe the way I feel at the moment.

I know... just can't help the way I feel.
Her chicks are due to hatch this weekend. Some of them are hers.

Looks like the babies are hatched. Can't tell if all hatched so they are staying in until tomorrow. First one hatched on Saturday around noon.
Tuesday they'll get their mareks shot... and then they get to play. Until then they'll live in my tub.
Next time I will start on a Monday...that seems to be sufficient.
