I had two ducks male and female and I accidentally ran over the female a few days ago. So the next day we found someone with a female pekin and introduced them and they're fine now! Well we decided to add another one because we've been told they do good with more females. Well he started biting the back of the newest ducks neck and we thought this was mating behavior because it was around his little pool. Well he hasn't stopped doing it and we had to separate them. He pulls on her and tries to grab her and he bites at her wings and I don't understand and what should I do? I thought they liked more females

When it comes to ducks mating can be much more aggressive then chickens, I normally would have 3-4 hens for my drakes since drakes are matting machines. i would separate the drake from the hens and let the hens get used to each other first, I would also make it so that the drake and hens can see each other as well.. once you notice everyone relaxing a bit and not trying to cause trouble then i would put them back together.

Okay thanks! It's just that the two females were from the same place and they were the only two females there. They get along great. But I just feel so bad for this newer female because she has sores on the back of her neck now.

Then i'd keep the two females separate until the one heals up from the one drake

He's like trying to drag her and he won't stop. And he grabs her head, neck, feather, and wings. It's awful to watch. I'm debating on taking the newer female back . He didn't do it to the first one. Only reason I haven't taken her back was because they live their life in a small, 3 panel triangle fence with 6-7 big pekins.

If he continues to do this then i would either re-home the drake or give away the hen. Though if it were me i would keep the two hens and get rid of that drake.
