I asked a young woman at my TSC about the process of showing. She said that all birds are brought in in wooden crates, judged, killed on site, and the cages are burned. I wouldn't be showing at those places.

Don't make me call PETA!! LOL! Just kidding, but that is SO sad!! MUST.SAVE.BIRDS!!

The chickens don't get killed at a regular chicken show. That is counter productive. They will be butchered and the carcass will be judged for meat bird classes. Also known as broilers. Not every show has these classes, you need special facilities for that.

I have birds for sale. I have "pet" quality Ameraucana hens, they are either laying or POL. I have some mixes, AM crosses, EE. I have some Cochin peeps, and In the bator I have SLW & Blue Andalusions.

Do I even want to know how old this stuff is? Anyone remember when they stopped making this can? I thought it was the 80's.

Anyone else build butter tub sculptures? You know? When you pull all the tubs out, and try to find the lids? This is why I need children. THEY can do this stupid stuff!

What kind of Cochin's are you hatching?? I got 4 out of my molted pen in the incubator now hoping some hatch!! First time doing this so fingers crossed. How are your molteds doing? Was thinking about you when we drove past the Grantville exit on our way to the FS!
