Pet Peeves

Turn signals. People who don't use their turn signals properly, or at all. Or use them just before they make a turn, and then don't turn them off. Ever.

Lol, and hand signals! Stick your LEFT arm straight out to signal a left turn. Hang your LEFT arm DOWN to signal you are going to slow down or stop. RAISE your LEFT arm to signal a RIGHT turn. (You do not have to point to your right over the top of your car; we get it.) Folks, if you are on a bike or motorcycle, you do NOT use your RIGHT arm to signal a right turn! No. You don't. This always cracks me up and I'm afraid I'm going to drive into a ditch. :lau Seriously, ALL hand signals are made with the arm nearest the window, that is, the LEFT arm. Thank you.

that is, the LEFT arm. Thank you.
Unless you live on the other side of the world
Ignore me, I am being a pest :p

Pet peeve: People who don't use seatbelts on buses. They are not attached to your chair for no reason and the sign telling you that you have to wear them isn't there for no reason either.

I will not ignore you and you are not being a pest! Thank you for your reminder that America is not the center of the universe and not everybody lives here! Forgive me for being , ... ah, ... provincial? Is that the right word? Perhaps it will do, anyway..

Your busses have seat belts? I have not been on a city bus in years, but I don't think ours do, and I KNOW our school busses don't. I know, scandalous, right? 😔

I believe all our buses have them, last one I was on was a school bus (when you live rural sometimes you have to get a lift where you can :)). If the bus has belts AND a sign, you absolutely should be wearing it! Honestly it scares me to think about what would happen if a bus was in an accident, and people weren't wearing seatbelts :(

Hand signals are not taught anymore. No child knows what each signal means, let alone how to use them. Not excusing just explaining. But turn signals in a car, use them people!

Who on a motorcycle tries to signal with their right hand? You've seen this?
Right hand is your throttle hand. I can't imagine anyone trying to let go, signal then grab the throttle again. Maybe that's just me though.

Pet peeves are petty.
One of my petty pet peeves is that people that don't put their location into there profile and then when they do they put something cute so we think they're cool.
The whole point of a location is so that if you need help people know where about you are so people can help
My pet peeve is people thinking everyone needs their location posted to get help.
There's a couple members here that always swarm in right off the bat saying this is needed. But is it really in the majority of posts on the forum?
I definitely see it would be helpful in some instances but idk I feel in the majority of cases its not needed. Can also see how for some members that purposely don't post it or haven't yet to feel like it's a bit demanding of others.

My words exactly .

OK I have three pet peeves:

1. Hearing people say "oh it's just a chicken, it's not important if it dies or not"
2. Anthropomorphising animals, but especially dogs. Like, no lady your chihuahua is not your 10 month old child, stop dressing it up and carrying it around in a stroller
3. People who say pineapple belongs on pizza but have never eaten a pizza with a crust thinner than my winter coat. And no I'm not necessarily saying pineapple doesn't belong on pizza, I'm just saying that you have no say in this matter if you haven't tried a pizza with a normal crust
