phobias!!!

heights and "Saskwatch" I know, they aren't proven to exist but no one's proven they don't and hubby likes to scare me when we go camping. He claims that ppl who claim to have encountered them say they are "gentle and peaceful" Yeah well that's cuz the people who've been torn limb from limb and eaten/burried/scattered aren't alive to tell the story...

up until recently we didn't have riffles, now hubby bought "me" a .22 cal but he has a 308. and I'm a fairly good shot...

Spiders don't bother me like they do a lot of people. Nope, _I_ get phobic about roaches (once --a long time ago-- I just froze and pointed at one on the wall at work), ants (I know this goes back to the time a bag of Beer Nuts split, & they practically infested my room, going into and beyond my little bedroom garbage can--I might have been 12 years old, still get the heebie-jeebies), and--as I was just reminded earlier tonight when I 'lost' one I was tracking on the wall, then ceiling-- those furry-looking, many-legged, crawly things which are perhaps properly called centipedes. Eeewww, I just skeeved myself out again when I did a search to check the name--all those images! Yuck! If I ever get back in my room 'tonight', I think the light is staying on!

Stink bugs! Ugh I hate stink bugs! Especially when they fly at you in their drunken manner and inevitably land in my hair... ewwww I scream! I also don't like camping in tents because of my other phobia... bears...

I would say that a phobia is an irrational fear of something. Some things need to be feared. Like fire, or falling overboard, 10 miles from shore.
A phobia would be walking up to a mudpuddle, and thinking that there was no bottom to it, or some of those crazy things that Maury Povich used to have on his show. Fear of pickles, etc.

Is there a phobia about not being able to go to sleep before 3 am, because you didn't hit a lick all day? I think that's what I've got.
