My Beloved Dolores who passed away this week of unknown causes. She almost didn’t make it as a baby, had something alarming going on with her right hock, but she was brave and smart and taught us a lot about chickens.

This is Cinnamon, my sadly deceased Golden Sebright cockerel. He was the cock-of-the-walk, and had a habit of going after my feet... he was a mean one.
He disappeared last summer when something went after the chickens while they were scratching about in the woods. I don't know what it was, but Cinnamon never came back.
Anyway, sorry for the portrait photo -- this is the best one of him that I have on my computer at the moment. The picture was taken earlier in the summer last year, when I brought him inside for a routine cuddle check up.
