Picture Of The Week (POW) Information & Submissions

I have rescued chicks and pullets that have grown into lovely characters and even are trusting. Only 3 of my 10 were 'intentional'. The first 3 were basically raised where the owner had chicks as cat food. Four more were crowded in a tiny, filthy cage with 6 others waiting to grow into dinner.

That breaks my heart. Your a wonderful human for giving them a good life. Happy Valentines Day! ❤

Mutts are my favorites. And, we call them designer chickens around here.

The funny part is that she cost $45 and was a last minute add on to my chick order. Too expensive to be a mutt, so I am going to agree on the designer chicken label!

She is now a $100 chicken after her trip to vet to get stitched up.
