A cuckoo silkie that's what I want. Just one to go with my one lavender, that is all the silkie madness I need. I've got mixes, BLRW, blue rocks, MArans, quail, and more mixes in the bator.

Do you hatch the eggs laying down, or keep them up? I'm trying up this time.

I have mine in the turners till lock down then I lay them on thier side that has the date on it. I have only had one egg hatch in the bator with the turners in it. It was a shipped egg. But I thought you start the timer from the date you put them in the bator. This little guy never made it to his lock down date. He was ready to hatch to my suprise. Seriously, I was in shock. The other that came with him hatch on the correct date. Just silly. I don't know that I have ever seen a cockoo silkie? I am going to have to look that up and see it. Sounds awesome.

Here is yesterday chicks that were born. Picture 2 and three has the MF D"Uccle/ MF OEGB mix. Came out pretty tiny with feathers on it's feet and legs. Those are probably hocks. I wonder if the MF will come out in this chick? Today is going or suppose to be a large hatching day. I may stay up tonight just to watch

I just had a late Christmas chick hatch, a little white silkie. Poor thing was shrink wrapped so I had to help her. If she makes it I will call her snowflake
